MISSION’s solution will help vessels cut fuel use by 10-20% during port arrivals and anchorage, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimising environmental harm. The project will provide real-world data on emission reductions and allow shipping companies to measure their fuel savings and emissions avoided.
By enabling full monitoring of GHG emissions through simulations and digital controls, MISSION supports accurate emissions tracking in the maritime sector. Its approach aligns with national and international environmental policies and contributes to UN SDG 13 (Climate Action) by tackling climate change in shipping.

Health Impacts
Ports significantly impact local communities, with air pollution from CO₂, SOₓ, NOₓ, and other pollutants posing major health risks, especially for children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions. MISSION’s fuel-saving measures (10-20%) will help lower harmful emissions by reducing vessel waiting times and streamlining port operations. This will improve air quality and reduce healthcare costs over time.
